Teacher - My God.

|| गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुर्गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः ||

|| गुरुरेव परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः ||

Guru is like Brahma the Creator, who creates or imbibes the virtue of knowledge in his students. Guru is like Vishnu, who maintains this creation of good knowledge and constantly upgrading it. And Guru is like Shiva the Destroyer, who destroys or gets rid of the darkness of ignorance from students. To such a Guru, I bow with devotion.

Here at the divine land of India, we believe that boons of knowledge and wisdom are bestowed upon us by goddess Saraswati herself. And therefore, schools are considered to be places of worship and teachers equivalent to good Lord.
The tale of Dronacharya and Eklavya which depicts extreme commitment of a student to his teacher. The tale of Krishna and Arjun which tells how a teacher's advice is solution to all material problems. The tale of Swami Vivekanand and Ramkrishna Paramhansa is a story of how a teacher can glorify ones inner potentials. And many more such stories indicate that the student teacher relationship is truly auspicious for us.
It is rightly said that the process of learning never stops. And thus one needs a teacher at every phase of his life. For an infant his mother is the first teacher. She teaches him to eat, walk and speak; and in the most lovely manner.  Then comes teacher at school who hold our hands firmly and teach us to write.
Harsh is this world and hard are its ways. But it is a teacher who helps us build our own identity. A teacher identifies your talents before you do. A teacher helps you correct your mistakes before you do. A teacher provides you with solutions to problems before you do. A teacher supports and guides you always, so that you can shine bright midst a huge crowd. Teacher always lead us on the right path, but at times when we seem to deviate they have to use stricter methods, they scold and punish us.
But like a potter working on his clay piece, you shape you pot well. While your one hand pats and strokes us from outside, the other hand always supports us from inside. Teacher is like a mother, who loves and care for us always. Teacher is like a father, who is a constant source of guidance. And teacher is like a friend, who will support us in every thick and thin.
At last, I would like to say that teachers are builders of Tomorrow, they shape the future and do it faithfully. To such a Teacher, respect and gratitude from bottom of my heart.
